About the opportunity:
As an Employment Coach you will deliver high level customer service through matching customers to the most effective interventions to become job ready and find suitable and sustainable employment. You will work with customers to identify and address employment and non-employment related barriers. You will empower our customers, supporting them into sustainable employment, building their independence and improving their wellbeing. It is an engaging, challenging and rewarding role.
Being an Employment Coach involves:
- Ensuring that the customer understands the requirements of the program and expectations that they are to be actively engaged in employment or an activity preparing them for employment.
- Identifying and coordinating the delivery of assistance for customers that will improve their employment prospects – through building self-esteem, facilitating access to non-vocational and vocational interventions, accessing activities at the site and job matching.
- Delivering and facilitating a range of group-based sessions for customers to support in improving their non-vocational skills and ability to complete job search.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with community organisations to endure holistic support is provided.
- Reviewing customers’ requirements on a regular basis to ensure tailored to their individual circumstances.
- Conducting Reverse Marketing calls to Employers to support with placing participants into employment
About You:
- You are passionate about your community and connecting people to opportunities
- You are results driven but people focused - always
- You have well developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, liaise and consult with a wide range of stakeholders
- You utilise your professionalism and finely-honed customer service skills when providing support to our customers including facilitating small groups.
- You are proficient in computer applications, including Windows and MS office suite.
- You understand and have the ability to work within a contractual compliant environment.
- You may have relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Employment Services or related fields.
- You hold a current drivers licence and are willing to undertake a satisfactory Police Check and Working with Children Card as a pre-condition of employment.
